Ok, Alex and I have selected STATE OF FEAR as the next book to be discussed

This is Crichton's latest, an is reportedly an anti--anti-global-warming screed. This should be a super easy read that sparks plenty of conversation.

I read Koontz's latest, and laughed out-loud when he ruthlesslessly attacked the press  as naive pretty-boys who blame everything on Global Warming. That book, THE TAKING, marks a continuation of Koontz's gradual return to form. ODD THOMAS, his previous, was even better.

I don't think someone should write "Marks a continuation". They shouldn't even think it. Its alot like saying that you postive that something might happen. Talk about lazy writing.

Go get STATE OF FEAR. I am going to read DECIPHER, by Stel Pavlou first, to give you guys a head start. I can't sleep and its sitting right in front of me.

One more thing, you should  be thinking about a coed new-years ski trip. Oh yeah, spread it on! I'll probably be in Vail on Dec 11th, also, if anyone wants to come for a tune-up.

First off, 'SPIT' was a BeatStreet reference. Sorry.

Second off,  Book 4 of the SONG OF ICE AND FIRE, is 'finished' but not released yet.

Here is what the the author has to say about a book he is reading, that sounds easy enough:

THE MYSTERIES by Lisa Tuttle (Spectra, March 2005). Lisa Tuttle never disappoints. Her latest novel, THE MYSTERIES, is a deft and daring blend of mystery and dark fantasy, about a private eye whose latest case leads him down the meanest street of all... the one to Faerie. Richly imagined and beautifully written, it lingers in the mind long after the last page is turned.

I like book about Faerie set in the contempory time period, (Fiest's FAERY TALE still sticks with me).  But I'm just trying to open up the discussion.
