I've got a lot to post about, but I don't want to do it all at once.
One thing though. Everyone is buying guns now. Fine, I get it. HOWEVER, it would be much more rewarding to buy these guns illegally, if in fact it becomes illegal to do so. I'm just saying. If it becomes illegal to by a gun, I expect all of y'all to go buy one anyway. Had Y2K been the apocalyptic disaster some people said it was going to be, I wanted to be in the shit helping out, not squirreled away in the mountains. Planning ahead sucks, in some cases. One other point demands being mentioned. Friday night Ed complained about Obama requiring community service of all students, regardless of their age. Ed was agitated, since this is, as he (and the dictionary) define it, is slavery. The more level headed of the crowd were skeptical, and indeed a quick glance at Obama's self-themed .gov web site proved that Ed was exaggerating, or in fact was just plain wrong. Or did it? Turn's out us level headed skeptics were wrong and Ed was right. I hope this isn't a trend. I really do. When Ed is right, bad things happen. I will give Obama as fair a shake as I can. I don't find it that difficult, actually. I think his policies are anti-american (Yeah, I said it, fuck you), and I can marshal many arguments that his ideals will lead to disaster, but I am mindful of the good faith on the other side. I can't dismiss what I know, about this country and its policies- but I can have faith that there are things I don't know and, hold on tight to the belief that there is more to being a president than the policies you adore, I hope so, anyway.

How good is Joe Calzaghe? Hopking, Jones, Kessler, Lacy...... All scalps. You get the impression that all his opponents would have beat him, if only he would have slowed down and let them. It's why you don't know who I am talking about. USC wins one good game and the world says they are the best team in College football. San Diego Chargers win two and row and "they are the most talented team in pro football". Calzaghe has only won every one of some 100 fights, and never rises past 3 on the p4p list? Styles make fights, sure, but styles also make Rank. Apparently.
Hatton, having bowed out of the P4P best race due to a string of unimpressive wins and a loss, is campaigning back at his best weight this Novermeber, against New York loudmouth Pauli Malinaggi. Pauli lost to world beater Miguel Cotto. Hatton lost to world beater Floyd Mayweather (at a higher weight). This makes the fight more interesting in some ways. The only distressing thing about Hatton's retirement talk is that he doesn't want to go out a boxer by shoring up his record against firm opponents like Malinaggi. Rather, he wants to go out a showman, against other showmen, like Oscar D. Maybe Oscar's size will tell against the MUCH smaller Pac-man in their upcoming fight, and then Pacman will com back down to face a victorious Hatton. And maybe Hatton's new trainer, (Floyd Sr) will put some defense back into Hatton's game, prolonging his career a bit. It hasn't been a bad year for boxing, but we had two great ones recently, so 08 appeared slow.
