Re: we know it's just a lie, scare your son, scare your daughter

Exactly three things in this post got me thinking, and since we think in threes, I felt inclined to comment...
1. I am with you 100% on Arcade Fire. There is something intriguing, mysterious, and attractive about them, but for whatever reason, they just don't do it for me. There's a good analogy in there somewhere, but my coffee hasn't kicked in yet and I'm lazy right now.
2. I'm with CoCo!!!! (that has nothing to do with your dog, but your post made me want to shout it out loud on the Slowdown. if you have been living in a cave during the past week and don't know what I'm talking about, just Google my declaration).
3. I heard a radio interview on the way to work this morning for the author who has written what is bound to be a fantastic coffee table book titled "Showgirls, Teen Wolves, and Astro Zombies: A Film Critic's Year-Long Quest to Find the Worst Movie Ever Made." Check it out here: http://www.amazon.com/Showgirls-Teen-Wolves-Astro-Zombies/dp/0061806293/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1264008659&sr=8-2. Your mention of GI Joe (which I still haven't seen) inspired me to post this.
